Time and Possibility
Presented by Richard Freid, LMHC and Dan Simone, LMHC
We will begin this presentation paying close attention to the phenomena of real everyday comments that clients make in therapy. We will then reflect on them imaginatively using existential philosophy to help us explicate the underlying temporal structures revealed in those comments. We will explore how time moves us in a way that allows us to “show up” and gives us access to possibilities of what we might become. We will then return to the everyday comments that our clients make to see if we can actualize some of the ideas we discussed in a more existential approach to psychotherapy.
CEs available for LMHC and LICSW
