Till Death Do Us Part: Themes of Love and Death in Psychotherapy
Presented by Sue Anne Kostur, LMHC
This presentation will explore the crucial interdependent themes between love and death and how one can work with them in the therapeutic process as well as in one’s personal life in the every day. A relational interpretation of Heidegger’s Being and Time will be presented, focusing on his concepts of authenticity, anxiety and guilt.

Sue Anne Kostur is a psychotherapist presently working at the Community Substance Abuse Center (CSAC), a private methadone clinic in Woburn, MA. Her training as an existential therapist is particularly effective with her clients who now find themselves in a place where they want their lives back after years of opiate abuse. She also works at the Center for Health Resources where she specializes in relationships and the unfolding of the understanding of the self and the other through the conflicts that inevitably erupt in relationships with others.
Discussant will be NECET member Richard Freid
